SECTION 3: USING MICRO D PLAYER

— Click the LIST tab, browse the list to nd the le you want to open, then click the entry.

— Click the CALENDAR tab, click the (bold) date when the le you want to open was recorded,

click the mark in the Hour Chart to select a le, then click the thumbnail of the le to open it.

3.6 Convert .sdr2 video les to .avi

.sdr2 les recorded by the MDVR14-4 DVR can be converted to .avi les for compatibility with most

computer operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows with Windows Media Player. These les can

be converted fully, or in part by establishing a start point (using the A button) in the le and an end point

(using the B button) before the conversion. The converter then creates a video segment from A (start) to

B (end) in .avi format.

To convert a video segment from .sdr2 to .avi format:

1. Open (play) the video le you want to convert.

2. While the le is playing, mark the starting point of the video segment you want to convert by

clicking the Pause button then clicking

(A button), or by just clicking the A button. Clicking the

A button pauses the playback and puts an “A” marker on the scale.

3. Click the Play button to continue playing the le. When you reach the end point of the video

segment you want convert, click

(B button). Clicking the B button pauses the playback and puts

an “B” marker on the scale.

4. Click (AVI button) to open the EXPORT window. In the EXPORT window, you can adjust the “A”

and “B” markers forward or back to change the start and end points of the video segment you want

to convert.
